Behavioral Health Program
Family Service offers an array of prevention and intervention programs designed to support and strengthen the healthy development of all family members.
Successful Parenting Class is offered four times a year. The eight-week series includes basic parenting skills - parenting styles, ages and stages of development, preventative discipline, family communication, and safety within the home.
Parenting Teens is also offered in conjuction with the Successful Parenting Class which addresses the challenges parents encounter during the teenage years.
TransParenting focuses on teaching parents how to manage and understand the emotional and behavioral needs of their children during a divorce. TransParenting strives to teach parents ways they can help their children adjust and handle the effects of divorce.
Family Support provides intensive, short-term services that focus on enhancing parenting skills and basic life skills. The service can be offered in the family's home and typically focuses on parent-child relationships, parent education, home-management skills, and linkages with other community resources.
Individual and Family Therapy services are provided within the school setting to assist individuals and families in dealing with life stressors that impact their behaviors and relationships at school or home.
Friday Parent Coffees
Family Service, in cooperation with Saratoga and the Community Learning Center, offers Parent Coffees at Saratoga Elementary School in the cafeteria at 8:15 am. The Friday coffees are open to parents in the Saratoga and surrounding neighborhood. It's a great way to unwind, connect with others and have adult conversations.
